Leta Atkinson Crickets from the Brian Jean. Talk about hypocrisy. Like · Reply · 1 · 3 hrs Manage Julie Ali Julie Ali Leta Atkinson Hypocrisy or not the release of this information by the folks who released has provided the public with information we do not have in the public realm. Maybe it is time for this information to be put into the public realm. Heck maybe it is time to end the housing allowance and simply add a fixed amount to the MLAs who live out of town that becomes taxable income. I would prefer there be no housing allowance but since politicians make their own rules we won't get this ideal situation.

Kelly Wolfert Workin' the system.
Party politics aside ... it's taking advantage of the system and tells quite a bit about how he sees things.
The next time he criticizes that the government is taking from Albertans, he's going to have to explain this.

Every day.
All the time.

Julie Ali He doesn't have any sort of credibility now yapping to us about fiscal responsibility and appropriate use of taxpayer dollars when he is using our money to make a profit on a business venture.
Manage
Thomas Dewey Julie Ali He has no moral compass.
Manage
Julie Ali Thomas Dewey I guess this is how he got from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation preaching about fiscal mismanagement and the abuse of taxpayer dollars to this place of using public dollars for his own profit. Interesting how a transition to political life changes the behaviour.
Manage
Annette Diemert We have to remind him of this, every single time he tries to tell someone else that they are taking advantage of the system.
Manage
Kelly Wolfert He going to lose all credibility as a finance critic (if he hasn't already) and this, given his constant one narrative towards the NDP, could end his career. He's going to have to lay low after this one.
Maybe Jean's team shut him down? Maybe not. Either way ... pay it back, apologize profusely and then keep quiet.
Manage
Michael Scott Kelly Wolfert he's clearly not too bright if he attacked Jean while knowing Jean and/or his team knew about this. Any politician should know the optics of this will not be good.

Rory Kyte If Notley had been doing the same they'd be chanting lock her up! Sooo...Lock him up!?

If he obtained a benefit by deception or knowingly converted a government asset for personal gain I suspect there could be at least a summary conviction offense here...any lawyers want to take a punt here?

Julie Ali Michael Scott Maybe he just did not care? Reminds of the PC arrogance and entitlement.

Julie Ali Rory Kyte I think this issue was useful to expose a loophole. I think we should just leave him to the voters.

Kelly Wolfert And not to the provincial debt. Trying to play hero in this is unbelievable in its attempt.
Stunned!
