Susan Lee I was thinking the same.....lots of money for a prairie apartment! Also Airbnb can rent daily or weekly....sounds like a profitable deal😉

Jason Specky $2500 a month, roughly.
Manage
Jason Specky That he claimed.

Colton Pollard 2500 a month downtown is not crazy

Torch Rankin For a 1 bedroom in Edmonton?! It's completely crazy.

Julie Ali Even in downtown Calgary you can get an apartment for $1,000.
Manage
Annette Diemert I did a quick Google search of bachelor suites in downtown Edmonton.
The most expensive one I found was still less than $1500/month. Most were $1000/month or less. With utilities, especially because he isn't always there, he shouldn't have more than $2000/month expenses for that place.
I hope that all of his expense claims get audited.

Torch Rankin Someone pointed out he may be looking for places that house his family. So, fine. Still skeptical of price, but turning a profit is a whole other thing.

Connie Smith I would say he rented a luxury penthouse apartment at that cost.

Julie Ali Annette Diemert Write to the Auditor General for a review of all MLA housing allowance expenditures. Might be interesting.

Jessica Sachs Torch Rankin It's a studio that only accomodates 2 people, so not for his family. He could have found a cheaper place, even downtown within walking distance of the Leg, to help save the taxpayer money.
