Jessica Berry Lavoie I kind of think staying home to raise your kids shouldn't break the bank. I wish the cost of living weren't so high and it was easier to survive off of one income. I think society is failing because it's basic unit, the family, is failing. I wish the focus changed to how to really strengthen families

Sary Kim Once upon a time, we survived with one income. Had a house. Kids. And saved money to retire comfortably. Inflation is a scam and so is taxes.
Cheryl Roslin John Dillinger there is mat leave for 6 weeks then it changes to parental leave which can be taken by either Pasteur. The point of mat leave is to enable the mothers postpartum body to recover.

Laura Mohler Yes! I agree 100%! Both parents working should be a choice, not a necessity for survival!
Elysia Enriquez 100% agree with this comment! Parents would be able to not miss out on so much 👍🏻
Jake Turner Carmen Kirk Conservatives hate being forced to pay for other people's bad decisions is all. Germany and Sweden are both in big trouble economically because they are both welfare states.
Cindy Rowles There is pat leave. The parents can split the year anyway they want. In Alberta at least...
Andrea Rogoza John Dillinger in Canada..where we live...men can take mat leave, with pay and their job promised. I believe it's up to 6 months..women get a full year with their job promises. And to boot, our government pays every family a child benefit payment once a month, per child till 18
John B. Jensen Sary Kim It's what it is and it effects everyone equally. Just be sure you educate yourself and you live within your means.

Julie Ali I agree with you. You can live on one income; you just have to wait for the goodies.
