Julie Ali Well this has been very educational.

Get a load of this.
They don't even try to hide it anymore as this CBC writer states in the article, "I am all for a person's right to believe in whatever he or she desires, to embrace foundational myths of aliens, or miracles, or extreme positions of love or hatred, as long as it remains in a place of worship, with the door closed."
With the door closed?
You mean like a prison cell?
 And whose the jailer?
Oh of course, you are Neil! As the person who gets to decide what's allowed.
Sheesh. Can't they smell the stench of their own words?

The new leader of the Conservative Party, Andrew Scheer, has said he won't re-open the abortion question or same-sex marriage should he be elected prime minister,…

Julie Ali Troubling that the Conservatives have hired a dinosaur leader but they have more troubles than this. So far they have nothing to get them back to power other than the smiling face of this leader.

June Derksen I've met him, spoken with him, followed him, voted for him, he is a man with common sense, he's NOT a dictator like the communist PM we have now. He even believes in letting his caucus vote their conscience, I don't think you need to worry. Their are WAY bigger things to worry about! Like how we're going to get Canada back to being a free, democratic, non-Islamic, safe country for ALL Canadians.

Julie Ali I don't have any problem with this new Conservative leader or the Trudeau. They are all the same. I also think that Islamophobia is on the rise for no reason that I can think of other than folks need a vulnerable group to pound on. In Israel it's the Palestinians. In Canada it's the Arabs with their religion. I note this sort of junk with dismay. No matter how bright folks are they still need to bully other groups. Common sense is indeed in short supply these days.

June Derksen Julie Ali I actually think the govt itself is stirring the hatred towards Islam/Muslims. By giving preferential treatment and handouts to one sect of society, you automatically make them a target.
Same concept as teachers pet. The other 29 kids in the class see 1 kid getting treated better by the teacher, and that kid is no longer safe in the playground.

Julie Ali June Derksen Not all of us will believe what is said by government and those who do might be left to their conclusions. I'm of the view that we're all human beings and its not correct to lump all Muslim families into the category of preferential citizens. We don't do this for drug users or really other groups of any sort so why are we singling out Muslims?

June Derksen Julie Ali refugees is one thing, illegals are another. I've yet to see this govt help people on REAL trouble, like the Yazidis. Those women and children in the refugee camps are afraid to even go to the bathroom as they WILL get raped. Those are refugees

Julie Ali June Derksen Government run by each political party will choose the group they wish to help. It's like the Alison Azer case. Her kids aren't home but other folks got helped and are home.

Vera Cardinal Julie Ali islamophobia is a creation of the Liberal government to label Canadians who speak out against their agenda to rip apart the fabric of Canada, disembowel our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, to serve their own agenda.

Rational common sense peo
ple in Canada do not agree with our country being placed in this position. You wanna come to Canada to fit into and add to our country...welcome. You wanna come here and force your middle eastern ways upon us and destroy our country taking away our way of life to have yours supersede, then get lost are not welcome here and if that makes me 'islamaphobic' so be it!

Reply56 mins
Julie Ali Vera Cardinal Hi Vera, Actually I my religion is Catholicism. So you have somewhat of a misunderstanding of my background. I am also not from the Middle East -not being an Arab person. But if this is the junk they get to read, I feel for the poor Arab folks. Citizens of Arab descent have every right to be in Canada and I welcome them here. You should learn to be more democratic.

Vera Cardinal Julie Ali Syrian refugees seeking asylum from cities in the U.S that they have lived in for years, worked, owned house and cars. These are not refugees Madam. They are advantage seeking country shoppers running to where ever they can get the best free ride and in doing so demanding not only our financial support, but demanding extra special status afforded no other sector of our country.

This Madam does not make you a humanitarian, it makes you a blind sheepel fool which is precisely what Trudeau and his self serving agenda wants you to be!

You want to be a humanitarian? The people in this story are true bonafide refugees Madam! They do not have IPhone 7s, fancy clothes, money in the bank from houses and cars they sold in the U.S, before seeking fake refugee status in Canada.
Give your head a shake...you are being duped and willingly allowing yourself to be.

How about helping these people Madam?

John Letkeman interesting convo.....With all respect Julie I agree with June....We all know the way the refugees are being taken in leaves alot to be desired....The world we once knew is long gone....Times have changed...We take in the refugees and we give them more money for handouts than we give our own people who are really in need....Then the money starts to run out and a government official comes on national TV and says they have to do something cause a family should never have to chose between feeding there family healthy food or paying the rent.....Yet our own people who truly are in need starve.....We all know governments are corrupt and have there own agenda....It is not racism, it is not islamafobia, that are the problem....It is Islam (period).....I challenge all people to do some doctrinal studying on Islam and you will soon find out what there religion is all about....Lying to further there end cause is also permitted in there religion....And people here believe it hook line and sinker....Islam has caused major problems in everyother country in the world....What makes people belive it wont happen here ? SMH......God also does in fact love everone and wants all to come to him....But we are also to be wise.....When we lock our doors at night is it because we hate the people out there.....No...Its becaause we love the people inside.....People need to wake up.....

Julie Ali Vera Cardinal I agree with you that there are users everywhere; you only have to look at the political hires in Alberta. We got rid of the user PCs who were all of the Sky Palace mentality and now we get stuck with pseudo-PCs in the NDPCs. We're pretty screwed. But I don't believe in slamming one group because we've got users in government and in political parties. Citizens need to be better than the people we hire to run the nation.

Julie Ali John Letkeman I respect your views but Christians have been killing folks I do believe as well. I also believe that there is no common ground between the views of the right and the left. I believe we need to go beyond brands of politics to the human heart and soul and speak from there. People are people. The Muslim family next door to me is like the Christian family across the skin. I don't listen to any other junk than my own heart. It's wrong to trash other religions.

Vera Cardinal June Derksen exactly June! Where are all the charities helping these people? Nowhere as this article in today's Free Press very well spells out.

Now compare this article to the words of this border running refugee at a recent CBC sponsored town hall in Winnipeg who tells us not to lessen his refugee status because he dresses sharply!

Vera Cardinal Julie Ali i think it's wrong to trash other religions too. But for it is. Even more wrong for a religious group to want to come to another country and then demand their religion be given extra special considerations as is happening here and now. M103 makes that intent very very very clear! And anyone who thinks this is not a bad thing is living in a fools paradise!

Julie Ali I don't think this is a smear. I am curious what Mr. Scheers views are and if these are his views well then he's not going to get elected. I mean we got rid of the dinosaur PCs in Alberta and we don't want them at the federal level sprouting this junk which in my opinion is all about a failure to respect the human rights of specific groups of citizens. :http://www.cbc.ca/.../andrew-scheer-leadership-1.4136808 But Scheer opposes the very notion of a woman deciding to end her own pregnancy. He voted against a law normalizing same-sex marriage, arguing in the Commons that "homosexual unions" are antithetical to raising families.

He also defended Alberta Bishop Fred Henry, who told parishioners in a 2005 letter that gay sex is "an evil act, whether it is performed in public or private" adding that:

"Since homosexuality, adultery, prostitution and pornography undermine the foundations of the family, the basis of society, then the state must use its coercive power to proscribe or curtail them in the interests of the common good."

The new leader of the Conservative Party, Andrew Scheer, has said he won't re-open the abortion question or same-sex marriage should he be elected prime minister, but with a little de-funding and creative regulatory tweaking there he may be able to satisfy the social and religious conservatives who…

Julie Ali Well Doug, I must say that I have learned a little about the way folks think about Islam and other religions. Very narrow minded in my humble opinion. But I guess brain washing is endemic in Canada as it is in the USA.

June Derksen Islam is not a religion. I think your views may not be shared by the millions affected by terrorism...ask the families of 9/11 if Islam is a problem. You need to research the teachings of the Hadith. Surahs, and Quran.
I don't lump all Muslims together...not at all. But to embrace Islam, is to embrace terrorism. Muslims originally came here to flee their culture and Sharia Law. I've heard some Muslims talking about how they no longer feel safe here. And my heart goes out to those people. These illegals and false refugees are criminals.
Not a religious issue at all.
Just a terrorism issue. If Muslims in NA would fight against acts of terror, be it rapes or bombs, etc.,... I would stand right beside them to cheer them on!
Over and out!
Have a good day all! Xx

Julie Ali June Derksen I don't agree with you. I think Islam is a religion just like any other religion. All of these religions are different ways of being in the world. I believe we need to look beyond the religions to the human beings who are all around us.
