we are telling government and public bodies to change-----Julie Ali I guess they figure they are able to do the spin by themselves and don't need folks with disabilities to help them along.

and take who you are
and make the world change

this is the way to do the work
find a mentor like Ruth Adria

and do what she has done for decades
you change yourself first

and decide on the outcomes
you ignore everyone who tells you

that there is no complex care programs
in Alberta   and you change what exists

you tell the government
we are here for our families

we want the mentally ill
to be treated humanely

we want the disabled community
to be included

we want our children
who have neurodevelopmental disorders

to be considered fairly
and no    we won't stay silent any longer

we are speaking clearly
we take ourselves

like small candles burning
and we shine the light in the darkness

we say what was done to our families
and we forgive    but we do not accept these indignities

we change ourselves
and we follow Ruth Adria    to speak for them

we are not afraid
we are telling government and public bodies to change

because the handicapped citizens
deserve the rights of all of us

Absolutely ZERO representation at 'Inclusion' Alberta's (An Organization that is suppose to represent PwD) Ribbon Cutting with politicians today. What a dam shame. Unacceptable. Unless everyone with a disability couldn't get the day off work đŸ™„ ... Who will speak up?

Julie Ali I complain to the Auditor General all the time. I thought everyone did this.

Julie Ali Go right ahead Leah. I think we should do this more often. It is our money.

Leah McRorie I'm on it. AISH and PDD Recommendations still ignored by the Minister.
