Julie Ali shared Danielle Larivee NDP's photo. Just now · How about meeting with stakeholders outside the government and public bodies-like parents and their kids? How about including activists like Velvet Martin in this conversation? How about taking action rather than doing the same photo ops of the PCs? How about changing the world minister or do the citizens have to do this?

Privileged to spend the first part of my morning with a number of local frontline support workers from Children's Services, FCSS, WJS, AHS, and more. They were there to learn about compassion fatigue and how to take care of themselves. These individuals deal with heartbreaking stories every day as they care for those who can't take care of themselves. They make a real difference in the lives of so many Albertans so I was happy to let them know that I see them as world changers and I and my government colleagues are so grateful for their compassion and commitment. I hope that today they gain some tools to help them refresh and renew because they deserve it!

Julie Ali There are good people in every profession. However my experiences with social workers has not been positive. There needs to be more education provided to all workers dealing with complex care cases. It's troubling the minister is meeting only with the workers and not with the main stakeholders--the parents and kids.
