--#FollowingRuthAdria, #ItsOurData-------There is an audit that we got from Alberta Health that was done January 2015 called the Alberta Health Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS) Audit of the Good Samaritan Society Millwoods Centre that I am reviewing. It is curious that our FOIP request resulted in the GOA giving us this audit but not the October 2014 Quality Audit. And it is even more curious that we do not have any other audits provided to us. Does this mean that the facility has had no audits prior to these two audits? No one will answer our questions or give us the October 2014 AH Quality Audit or the AHS Respiratory Audit of 2014. It's like there is a cone of silence over the ministry and the health authority and we aren't allowed to get the data. But it is our data isn't it? So why can't we access it? Is the ministry allowed to retain data selectively in this way? Why? And the bigger question is why aren't there more audits? I had the understanding that the health authority does regular audits of every facility so this would mean that there should be a record of audits on this facility since the beginning of operations. But we were only given the CCHSS audit of 2014. So odd.

Julie Ali
 feeling happy.
Just now
Early morning. Warm outside but not as friendly as yesterday. Younger boy has gone to NAIT. I am going to the Villa Marguerite today to see Dr. C and Rebecca. Rebecca had a good visit home yesterday so I might leave a second home visit this week for later this week.
Things are progressing well with the lawsuit work. I have made it through the PPIC reports that validate the two instances of abuse that Rebecca went through. But I guess we will find out what exactly the GOA and the folks at AHS as well as previous health authorities were doing in terms of oversight as the lawsuit progresses.
Meanwhile in other news my red geranium is leaving her stance of poverty and producing red flowers like a bandit.
It is very pretty.
Well I'd better go now. Following Ruth Adria and asking for data is very time consuming.
