You would think they would be more proactive and be on the site before fatalities occurred. Why do families have to be the boots on the floor detecting problems? Why do we pay for auditors at Alberta Health and AHS when they are not doing the work of getting these private businesses compliant with required standards? Heck, why do we have standards if they aren't being met over and over?--

Since families are the auditing system that the government of Alberta doesn't have maybe we should get paid for this work?
I mean think about it folks. We have the folks at Alberta Health, AHS and Covenant Health who come in after fatalities that have been yapped about by families prior to their demise. So why even bother to have government auditors involved? Let the families audit. Let us decide penalties. And I betcha we will clean up the messes in continuing care faster than any old government auditor.
