http://thehomesteadsurvival.com/good-memories-achievement-…/ Think back over the last year of your life, what do you remember ? Big accomplishments, dramatic events, weddings, birthdays and such. Life can get so busy we forgot a lot of the smaller things that contribute to the good times in our lives. In my household, we have an Memories & Achievement jar that we fill throughout the year with little scraps of paper. Each time something great happens to us…. we write it down.

Good Memories Jar – Fill Every Time Good Thing Good Happens Throughout The Year and Open Notes on New Year's Eve.... to relive all the things you have to be grateful for.
Think back over the last year of your life, what do you remember ?
Big accomplishments, dramatic events, weddings, birthdays and such.
Life can get so busy we forgot a lot of the smaller things that contribute to the good times in our lives.
In my household, we have an Memories & Achievement jar that we fill throughout the year with little scraps of paper.
Each time something great happens to us…. we write it down.
Conquer a skill we have been struggling with…. we write it down.
Concert or cool event ticket stubs…. throw it in.
Thank you cards from friends….throw it in.
Sports wins… write it down.
Bottle cap from a drink with a friend….throw it in.
Funny joke or saying a family member said … write it down
Vacation keepsakes….throw them in.
Losses and how we dealt with them as a family.. write them down.
Answered prayers…write them down.
Small acts of kindness…write them down.
Amazing things seen in nature…write them down.
Something sweet a spouse did unexpectedly….write it down.
Funny things a pet or child did…. write them down.
Our treasured moments are really important towards showing us how far we have come, accomplished goals, lucky finds, hard work rewarded…. it can help towards keeping our mindset positive.
It is our New Year’s Eve tradition, we pull each piece of papers and read them aloud…. tons of laughs ensue and even a few hugs.
Gratitude, cherished and appreciation… collected and not forgotten.

Beverly Lewis Excellent idea. This is good for children to remind them of their successes when they get discouraged. Going to do this for my family.
Julie Ali Such a great idea. I just put my good and bad things on a blog.
