I believe instead of chatting folks up on Facebook it might be useful to provide data such as how much time do caregivers spend with each resident and what are the audits like? Real talk isn't just asking if they're okay; it's making sure they are.
Our guide can help you understand all the senior living options that are out there.

Dianna Olsen Berta From personal experience with Revera they are definitely NOT up to speed in how to deal with Alzheimers and Dementia residence. They haven't given enough training to their staff on how to handle these patients respectively. I have seen so much frustration there in patients and staff.
Revera Inc. Dianna Olsen Berta thank you for your feedback; I will share with our team here. We do have training programs for our staff, and continually look for new ways to support our residents‎ who are affected by these diseases. Alzheimer's and other dementias are complex, so we are always learning and working to enhance the care we provide. It's also why we are strong supporters of the work of the Alzheimer Society of Canada as they seek to better understand these diseases.
Dianna Olsen Berta Revera Inc. I may i say you need full time people on board who deal exclusively with this disease that will be there to handle situations and help PCW's cope as well as caregivers. The way it is set up now just does not work please take my word.

Zubaria Hassan What kind of help i can get with a little ODSP per month
Cathy Tucker After reading about a diabetic not getting 4 meals this is one company I just crossed off my list. I am a diabetic and that seems unimaginable to me that there is any reason whatsoever for that to have happened!
Revera Inc. Cathy Tucker, we agree this would be completely unacceptable, so we have reached out to this person to learn more from them. Our staff certainly understand the importance of proper nutrition, for all residents and those with specific needs. Please call us at 1-877-929-9222 if you have more questions.
Connie Dawson I will let you have mine if I ever řead ìt. I care.
Dianna Olsen Berta I had an aunt in Revera LTC with dementia they could not give her the proper care, also had a hard time watching over her not enough staff, they blocked her from getting into her room at one point so she got very frustrated over all this didnt help. In the end i was very unhappy with them, ad she wanted to go somewhere else.
Marian Stark It's a nice place but you have to be able to look after yourself.
Corry Horsman I have not been impressed with the two Revera LTC places here. There are always some good, caring staff but also some who are not.
Nancy Neidrauer Revera has more complaints registered against them than any of the other nursing homes! Best nursing homes are usually the ones that are not for profit run.
Robert Lucien Forget I don't understand the first thing you're all about. Is it housing, caring or just diplomacy as in information. I'm pushing 80 and it just happened overnight. I am not a very social man, not meaning anti-social, I guess I've always been shy. So I don't know the same things that others do. Probably because I really can not handle rejection. Like I've never asked a girl to dance! If you know what I mean. If she doesn't ask me, she won't dance. So maybe you can give me a hint of what it is you do. My health is fine because I avoid doctors and am a vegetarian. My life has been very different from most/all people so it's hard for me to relate to most. I've traveled most of the World for extended periods and have learned 7 languages. I need to polish 5 of them. Bye!
Terry McManus My mother was a guest at Windermere on the Mount from the time it opened with limited facilities to several years ago when she passed away at 99. During that time, even with some staff changes, Revera was absolutely wonderful to her from beginning to end. They did everything they could to help her stay on the "independent" side of the facility including sending food to her room when she needed it. The staff visited her in her apartment and they were not just doing their job, but they actually cared about her. Their rates were reasonable and their food was great once they had their own kitchen built. A friend of mine whose wife went through the Alzheimer's stages very quickly used Revera facilities and he had nothing but praise for them. Keep up your standards.... they are appreciated.
Noel Potts I m likely to b paying n excess of $ 11,000 for a husband and wife. The wife requires extra care, hence the extra fee. At night the care is in question. She may have to go to the washroom. Only one person, PSW is on the floor. Obviously inadequate. What must I do ? Hire a night person at an extra cost to the $ 10,000 I am already going to pay ? This is likely to make the cost prohibitive. I need some answers before I sign on the dotted line ! Please give me some answers that are understandable. Noel Potts.
Revera Inc. Noel Potts, thank you for your question. We offer many different retirement living options, which vary by location. Please contact us at 1-877-929-9222 so we can provide answers for your specific situation. Thank You
Rob Dawson Remind all concerned that the residence is their home and for the most part do not need permission for anything . Asking for help is not asking for permission , it is a statement and must be addressed !
